We are supporting two students participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. As part of the students’ endeavour to “learn a skill, improve their physical wellbeing, volunteer in their community and experience a team adventure in a new environment”, they will be volunteering for 13 weeks at the garden (1 hour per week). Alex and Henry have been have been supporting us in many ways. They have
- helped maintain the garden by mowing the grass along our pathways and common areas.
- helped members manage their plots, by weeding and watering
- transplanted seedlings and planted seeds to raise plants for our Seniors Open Day
